Keane - Everybody's Changing

록밴드라고 하면 보통 드럼과 기타가 연상되곤 하는데 프로그레시브 록이 유행했던 1970년대에는 바이올린이나 플룻 연주자가 포함된 밴드들이 있기도 했었습니다. 이후 기타와 드럼 연주자가 주를 이루게 되었지만요.

1990년대 후반에 결성된 킨(Keane)은 기타가 없는 피아노와 드럼 연주자, 보컬로 구성된 피아노 록밴드로 출발한 그룹입니다.

킨의 데뷔 타이틀이자 2004년 발매된 데뷔 앨범 [Hopes And Fears]에 수록된 이 곡은 영국은 물론 많은 나라에서 큰 인기를 얻었는데 앨범은 당시 영국 음반 판매 1위를 차지하기도 했습니다.

꽤나 진지한 노랫말인데 도입 부분의 멜로디를 국내 개그맨이 웃음 소재로 사용하기도 했었죠.

릴리 알렌은 킨의 또다른 히트곡인 'Somewhere Only We Know'의 커버 버전으로 엄청난 판매고를 올리기도 했죠.
