Atomic Kitten - The Tide Is High

1990년대에 들어서면서 보이 밴드의 전성기가 시작되고 걸 그룹도 속속 등장하게 되는데 스파이스 걸스가 주름잡던 영국에서는 1998년 3인조 그룹 아토믹 키튼(Atomic Kitten)이 데뷔하게 됩니다. 아토믹 키튼은 데뷔 초반 'See Ya'가 히트하면서 인기를 얻고 'If You Come To Me', 'The Last Goodbye' 등을 내놓으며 2000년대 초반 최고의 전성기를 누렸던 걸 그룹입니다.

CD로 구워서 들을만큼 저도 참 좋아했었는데 멤버의 출산때문에 활동을 길게하지 못해서 아쉬웠던 그룹입니다.

영국차트 1위를 기록하기도 했던 귀에 익숙한 이 곡은 자메이카의 레게 그룹 파라곤스(The Paragons)의 1960년대 작품인데요 1980년대에는 그 당시 인기 그룹인 블론디(Blondie)가 리메이크해서 히트하며 많은 사람들에게 알려지게 되었습니다.
